We would like to invite you to participate in our User-Dedicated Microsymposia UDM1 on "Tomography in and for Structural Biology" which will take place on 12th February 2025 during the 2025 ESRF User Meeting.
Participants of each UDM are invited to propose contributions to talks through the submission of abstracts. Contributed talks from users will be selected from the received abstracts. The deadline for UDM1 abstract submission is Sunday 15th December.
The aim of this 1-day micro-symposium is to promote cryo-electron tomography experiments currently available on the Titan Krios cryo electron microscopes, CM01 and CM02, located at the ESRF and X-ray tomography experiments that can be performed e.g. at ID16 and a possible future availability of performing the latter on the X-ray diffraction beamline for Structural Biology, ID30B. This will open new opportunities to perform different scientific experiments at the ESRF.
The goal of this UDM is to formulate new communities to find ways to exploit and expand these techniques currently available and soon available at the ESRF. Different views and challenges will be highlighted in a ‘round-table’ discussion at the end of the UDM. Users point of view and feedback on what is important for this new scientific field will be gathered.
