A workshop around the topic of orientation in 3D, studied with Tensor and texture tomography (and other techniques of interest) will be held in Marseille at the CIRM from 10.2. - 12.2.2025.
The idea is to have a 1 day workshop on the TexTOM code for Texture tomography inversions that we recently published and have another 1.5 days of scientific discussion around the topic, focusing on algorithm development, science cases of hierarchical structures and the transfer of texture tomography into new fields.
The target audience is material scientists working on hierarchically organized structures in the broadest sense, with an interest in crystallography techniques.
Through the generous support of sponsors, we managed to be free of registration fee and offer accomodation for the period of the workshop on site.
This should hopefully help to attract early stage researchers which want to learn about these techniques.
More information and the pre-registration can be found in the link below
