Il y a 100 ans, Max von Laue découvrait la diffraction des rayons X par les cristaux. Pour célébrer cet anniversaire, la Fête de la science est cette année consacrée à la cristallographie, une science qui étudie le cristal de sa structure atomique à sa forme visible. Alain Person évoque l’hypothèse selon laquelle les minéraux argileux pourraient être à l’origine de l’apparition de la vie sur Terre et nous interroge sur la distinction faite entre minéral et vivant.
